Se Eu Tivesse Asas / If I Had Wings

🇧🇷

Se Eu Tivesse Asas

Eu gostaria de ter asas.

Não para fugir do mundo,

mas para atravessá-lo inteiro,

cruzar o oceano,

vencer a distância,

o medo, o tempo

e tudo aquilo que se interpõe

entre duas almas que ainda se procuram.

Voaria por entre as nuvens,

até encontrar uma que carregasse chuva,

dessas finas e frias

que fazem as pessoas abandonarem as ruas,

fecharem suas portas

e procurarem abrigo.

E, enquanto o mundo se recolhesse,

eu abriria caminho no meio do caos

e pousaria na imensidão,

onde você estivesse.

Eu iria até você.

Não precisaria de mapas,

nem faria promessas grandiosas.

Levaria apenas meus braços,

abertos no azul do céu profundo,

e a certeza de que,

ao encontrar você,

eu diria:

“Venha.

Já pode descansar.”

Eu te tiraria de onde o medo mora,

de onde cada amanhecer

parece anunciar uma nova batalha,

de onde é preciso vestir coragem

mesmo quando tudo por dentro

pede apenas colo.

Levaria você para um lugar

onde ninguém perguntasse

quanto ainda consegue suportar.

Onde não fosse necessário

ser forte o tempo inteiro.

Onde respirar não exigisse esforço,

o silêncio não fosse solidão

e o sono não precisasse

permanecer de vigília.

Um lugar onde você pudesse

simplesmente existir.

Haveria uma manta,

um café quente,

uma janela aberta para o céu

e o tempo necessário

para que os pensamentos

pudessem ser só seus.

E haveria música.

Porque eu me lembro

de como você sempre encontrou

nas notas aquilo que as palavras

não conseguiam alcançar.

Talvez eu pedisse que tocasse para mim.

Como tantas vezes fez.

E, quando a última nota

se desfizesse no ar,

não precisaríamos dizer nada.

Porque talvez esse tenha sido

um dos nossos modos mais secretos

de conversar.

Você me entregava sons,

e dentro deles vinham seus sonhos,

suas inquietações,

as partes de você

que nem sempre encontravam

uma maneira de se dizer.

E eu escutava.

Não apenas com os ouvidos,

mas com essa parte de nós

que reconhece o sentimento

antes mesmo de lhe dar um nome.

Você, esse peixe sonhador,

com o coração mergulhado

em águas profundas,

sempre à procura de um lugar

onde o mundo fosse menos áspero.

E eu, o aquário, sempre soube

que amar um peixe

não é pedir que abandone o oceano.

É saber que, mesmo na imensidão,

depois de tanto nadar contra as correntezas,

ele também precisa de um lugar

onde possa repousar

sem deixar de ser quem é.

Um aquário sem grades,

sem portas,

sem correntes.

Água tranquila.

Luz suficiente.

naquele instante,

alguma coisa que a distância

não conseguiu levar.

Um cheiro.

Um perfume conhecido.

Uma lembrança que atravessou o tempo

e encontrou abrigo na pele.

Porque há memórias

que não moram nos olhos.

Moram no corpo,

nos sentidos,

naquilo que permanece

mesmo quando os anos

tentam nos convencer

de que tudo passou.

E talvez você soubesse

que havia chegado

antes mesmo de olhar ao redor.

Sem mapas.

Sem perguntas.

Sem precisar entender.

Apenas porque algumas presenças

continuam reconhecendo

o caminho de volta.

Eu gostaria de ter asas

para atravessar o mundo

até encontrar você.

Mas, depois de te encontrar,

não precisaria mais voar.

Talvez eu apenas ficasse ali,

sentada ao seu lado,

ouvindo você tocar,

enquanto a chuva cessasse

e o céu, devagar,

recuperasse o azul.

Você sorriria.

Aquele sorriso

que sempre pareceu guardar

algum segredo

que o resto do mundo desconhecia.

E talvez nos lembrássemos

de que a felicidade é simples assim:

sem precisar de muito,

sem explicações,

dividindo uma estrada,

uma música,

um silêncio,

um instante que não precisava

ser maior do que era

para se tornar inesquecível.

E eu compreenderia,

finalmente,

que nunca quis tirar você do mar.

Quis apenas que,

quando as águas se tornassem revoltas,

quando o horizonte desaparecesse

e a solidão parecesse maior

do que a própria imensidão,

você soubesse

que havia um lugar para voltar.

Um lugar onde você é amado.

Onde é respeitado.

Onde é visto.

Onde ninguém exige

que você deixe de sonhar

para caber no mundo de alguém.

Onde não é preciso

prender o peixe às suas águas,

nem ensinar o pássaro

a esquecer o céu.

Um lugar onde até quem nasceu

para atravessar oceanos

pode recolher as próprias asas,

fechar os olhos

e descansar.

E, se algum dia

você me perguntar

por que fui tão longe,

eu direi apenas:

“Porque, se eu tivesse asas,

eu teria ido.

Não para mudar o seu destino,

nem para escolher por você

em que águas deveria nadar.

Eu teria ido

para que, por um instante,

você não precisasse atravessar

tudo sozinho.

E porque, de todas as coisas

que a vida poderia ter feito conosco,

talvez tenha deixado uma:

a possibilidade de que,

mesmo depois de tanto tempo,

de tanta distância

e de tantas tempestades,

algumas pessoas

ainda saibam encontrar

o caminho de volta.

Não necessariamente

para o lugar de onde partiram.

Mas para aquele

onde, um dia,

puderam ser inteiramente elas mesmas.

E descansar.

If I Had Wings

I wish I had wings.

Not to escape the world,

but to cross it entirely,
to cross the ocean,
overcome distance,
fear, time,
and everything that stands
between two souls still searching for each other.

I would fly among the clouds,
until I found one carrying rain,
the kind that falls softly and cold,
making people leave the streets,
close their doors,
and seek shelter.

And while the world retreated indoors,
I would make my way through the chaos
and land in the vastness
wherever you might be.

I would go to you.

I would need no maps,
nor would I make grand promises.

I would bring only my arms,
open beneath the deep blue sky,
and the certainty that,
when I found you,
I would say:

“Come.
You can rest now.”

I would take you away from where fear lives,
from where every sunrise
seems to announce another battle,
from where you must wear courage
even when everything inside
is asking only for a place to rest.

I would take you somewhere
where no one would ask
how much more you could endure.

Where you would not have to
be strong all the time.
Where breathing would require no effort,
silence would not mean loneliness,
and sleep would no longer
have to stand guard.

A place where you could
simply exist.

There would be a blanket,
a warm cup of coffee,
a window open to the sky,
and all the time you needed
for your thoughts
to belong only to you.

And there would be music.

Because I remember
how you always found in the notes
what words
could never quite reach.

Perhaps I would ask you to play for me.

As you did so many times.

And when the last note
faded into the air,
we would need no words.

Because perhaps that was
one of our most secret ways
of speaking to each other.

You would give me sounds,
and within them came your dreams,
your restless thoughts,
the parts of you
that could not always find
a way to express themselves.

And I would listen.

Not only with my ears,
but with that part of us
that recognizes a feeling
before it is given a name.

You, that dreaming fish,
with your heart immersed
in deep waters,
always searching for a place
where the world might be less harsh.

And I, the aquarium, have always known
that loving a fish
does not mean asking it to abandon the ocean.

It means knowing that, even in the vastness,
after swimming against the currents for so long,
it, too, needs a place
where it can rest
without ceasing to be who it is.

An aquarium without bars,
without doors,
without chains.

Still water.
Enough light.
Room to dream.

I would take you there.

And if you arrived
carrying the weight of everything you had lived through,
I would ask for no explanations.

I would not ask why you took so long.
Nor why you did not come sooner.

I would simply open my heart.

And perhaps you would recognize,
in that moment,
something that distance
had failed to take away.

A scent.
A familiar perfume.
A memory that had crossed through time
and found shelter in the skin.

Because some memories
do not live in the eyes.

They live in the body,
in the senses,
in what remains
even when the years
try to convince us
that everything has passed.

And perhaps you would know
you had arrived
before even looking around.

No maps.
No questions.
No need to understand.

Simply because some presences
still know how to recognize
the way back.

I wish I had wings
to cross the world
until I found you.

But once I found you,
I would no longer need to fly.

Perhaps I would simply stay there,
sitting beside you,
listening to you play,
while the rain came to an end
and the sky, slowly,
regained its blue.

You would smile.

That smile
that always seemed to hold
some secret
the rest of the world knew nothing about.

And perhaps we would remember
that happiness is as simple as this:

needing very little,
no explanations,
sharing a road,
a song,
a silence,
a moment that did not need
to be greater than it was
to become unforgettable.

And I would finally understand
that I never wanted to take you from the sea.

I only wanted you to know
that when the waters grew turbulent,
when the horizon disappeared,
and loneliness seemed greater
than the vastness itself,
there was a place
you could return to.

A place where you are loved.
Where you are respected.
Where you are seen.

Where no one demands
that you stop dreaming
to fit into someone else's world.

Where there is no need
to hold the fish captive to its waters,
nor teach the bird
to forget the sky.

A place where even those born
to cross oceans
can fold their own wings,
close their eyes,
and rest.

And if someday
you ask me
why I went so far,
I will simply say:

“Because, if I had wings,
I would have gone.

Not to change your destiny,
nor to choose for you
which waters you should swim in.

I would have gone
so that, for a moment,
you would not have to cross
everything alone.

And because, of all the things
life could have done to us,
perhaps it left us one:

the possibility that,
even after so much time,
so much distance,
and so many storms,
some people
still know how to find
their way back.

Not necessarily
to the place they left.

But to the place
where, once,
they were able to be entirely themselves.

And rest.
